Police Chief

Chief of Police - Ryan McNeil

 

Ryan McNeil began his career with the Cherokee Police Department in 2015 after coming to the department from the State of Kansas, where he worked for the previous 10 years as a member of the Medicine Lodge Police Department. In 2016 he was promoted to the Assistant Chief of Police and was appointed as the Chief of Police in 2018. In addition to being the administrative head of the department, he also serves as one of two narcotics detector dog handlers for the department as well as serving on the Alfalfa County 911 Board and the President of the Alfalfa County Local Emergency Planning Committee.
